Wheel of Tease on January 4th!

CopyrightImprovised Burlesque to Live Music

There are two things you don’t see a lot of in neo-burlesque today: live music and on-the-spot -improvisation. When these two elements do come to pass, the result is a rare and beautiful thing.

On the 4th of January, eight burlesque stars will take the stage and create spontaneous performances using props and song chosen by members of the audience. The soundtrack to this “kamikaze burlesque” will be performed live by the only electro-swing band, Seattle’s own Good Co. Join us for a night of spur-of-the-moment striptease and silly, sexy fun.

Graveyard Stories - In a fairy tale kingdom: Candy Apples

October 24, 2013 at 8:06 AMVioletDeVille

Copyright"I do not know what manner of thing she is. None of us do. She killed her mother in the birthing, but that's never enough to account for it." That's what the queen said and we know what happened to her.

Or do we?

The tale of Snow White is not a new tale and Ms. Candy Apples brings her considerable talent to this staging of Neil Gaiman's retelling of a classic tale.

Join Seattle's Sweetest Survivor, Ms. Candy Apples for some ghastly tales on October 27th for Graveyard Stories, Burlesque to Scream By.

Graveyard Stories - Appearance is everything: Morgue Anne

October 22, 2013 at 8:26 AMVioletDeVille

CopyrightSuspended in time and space for a moment, this is your introduction to Miss Janet Tyler, who lives in a very private world of darkness, a universe whose dimensions are the size, thickness, length of a swath of bandages that cover her face. On Sunday, Morgue Anne will take us back into this room and then we'll look under those bandages, keeping in mind, of course, that we're not to be surprised by what we see, because this isn't just a hospital, and this patient 307 is not just a woman. This happens to be Graveyard Stories, and Miss Janet Tyler, with you, is about to enter it.

Graveyard Stories - A dead sexy woman: Bettie Fever

October 20, 2013 at 7:39 AMVioletDeVille

CopyrightThe blood of a zombie is old and coagulated. It neither pulses to the rhythm of a beating heart nor warms the flesh; except in the case of the freshly deceased. Sometimes when the viral load reaches it apex and the amplification drives the shambling mass forward, the newly dead’s blood will begin to boil. The Northwest Territory and British Columbia were lost during the Rising and Bettie Fever is from those parts. Or rather she was from those parts. While she safely made it out of the hot zone, northern Seattle turned out to be not so safe and death caught up with her.

Witness Bettie Fever's own rising at Graveyard Stories on October 27th at the Re-Bar!

Tickets are $12 at Brown Paper Tickets and $15 at the door!

Graveyard Stories - A portrait in vengeance: Cacia Vice

October 18, 2013 at 10:25 PMVioletDeVille

Copyright Revenge is a common theme in horror stories, whether it’s the vengeful spirits of the killer’s wife and her lover from their watery grave or the distraught parents who found their child’s cold and lifeless body on the lake shore and exact cruel reprisal against those who took their precious. Cacia Vice is not a vengeful person by her nature. Then again bad things do happen to good people; horrific things.

Turn down the lights and pull up the covers, story time is near.
